December 2

Wow. It's hard to believe that it is already December. I've been in South Africa since October 23.

Crazy.

A new month at Oceans meant saying goodbye to many people yesterday. Friday we went out to Flames one last night (only my second time ever). Emily and I made our way out once everyone started to cry. I completely understand why they were upset, but I wasn't dealing with it. I don't know how. We had to wait literally like over an hour for a taxi. Mossel Bay is having its busy season and there are only two taxis in the whole place. True story.

Then yesterday was a mess. I think it was harder for the people that had been here two months to part ways and maybe it I will be more sad at the end of December. Doubtful. There were many tearful goodbyes and everyone left my one. I hugged people and said goodbye but I wasn't that sad. It's 2012. You can stay in touch via the internet and obviously everyone here likes to travel so it's possible to visit. Just throwing that out there.

Now we have three new interns and one of them is our new roommate. They all seem cool. I think it will be strange to go from having 19 interns to 12 but maybe in a good way.

I have also been incredibly lazy this weekend. I think people are going to the beach today. I will probably nap. It's freakishly hot here today. Its been sweatshirt weather for the past week and now all of a sudden it's 8am and I'm sweating?
