We decided to sleep in today, since we hadn't been able to do that for a long time. When we woke up, we saw that the predicted rain was indeed very heavy, continous and coming straight down. But early in the afternoon we went out anyway. Since the rain was still falling, we used our umbrellas, but the wind was coming from so many different directions, quickly after one another and each time with a lot of force, we had a hard time to hold on to the umbrella. Of course, this wasn't going to go well for a long time, and soon Michelle's umbrella was totally broken and Dennis' could be mended a bit. We bought a new one near the station.
First stop was the phone store where we got Dennis an iPhone 4S too, with the same subscription Michelle took 2 days before. We had a bit of luck, because that apparently enabled us to call to each other for free, since we are both living at the same address. It would take about an hour to process, but when we arrived an hour later the phone company (not the shop) was still busy processing it. We decided to wait in the store, but since it took quite a while and there were no other customers, the shop tenants tried to entertain us as much as possible with movies, pictures, kanji writing, trying out other mobile phones and talking about Holland and Japan. Waiting wasn't so bad after all ;)
At four o'clock we finally got our iPhone and wanted to go to Ikea to get the additional stuff we needed for the beds that would come on Monday. The rented pillows and sheets had to be returned as well, so we had to buy some of our own. When arriving at Shin-Yokohama, we first went to a nearby Book Off, for which we had to cross the street. It was just a short walk, not that far, but with all the wind and rain, soon our umbrellas were broken all over again. We were not the only ones though, since about 20 broken umbrellas were lying in a pile at the station as well and we saw many more becoming broken as well. After Book Off we waited for the Ikea bus to arrive with out broken umbrella, but we didn't get that wet luckily.
The return trip was better with almost no rain, but with heavy bags. Later in the evening Dennis had a long, long Skype call with Joost about creating pdf's for the next AniWay. So in the end, it was a 'regular' AniWay dead-line weekend after all, working till 3 AM.

René I suggest you buy better umbrella's. I know they are more expensive, so let me transfer some money to you from the games / dvd's / bluerays I told! Sales are going well.
