I have so much to update all of you about! So I'll be making more than one post tonight.
Saturday morning I woke up early to make it to the Banhof (train station) to depart on our 2 1/2 hour adventure to a town called Baden-Baden. I had no idea it was going to take that long and three different trains to get there or I would have brought my I-pod for entertainment.
Finally we arrive in Baden-Baden and we had a tour guide that was only 18 years old and in the 13th grade here in Germany. (That's like a senior in high school at home.) I felt really bad for her because she seemed really stressed out that she had 35 forgeiners to cart around. But, she took us to see the casino. It was very pretty but you had to be 21 to enter. Probably a good thing for me so I didn't lose my money for the next 6 months here. After the casino she walked us to see the Trinkhalle (drink hall). This was also very pretty.
We were then let loose to explore Baden-Baden on our own. We pretty much just walked around and seen what the city had to offer (with a beer in my hand of course).
The city was very expensive, with my older women walking around in fur coats. We had been told before we left that it was a rich city for millionaires. This was def. confirmed. However, there was some really pretty scenery here. There were castle ruins that overlooked the city, and if we would have had time I would have wanted to walk up to them instead of only halfway.
Unfortunately, I forgot my memory card for my camera in my computer so I was only able to take like 10 pictures that I can't get off my camera anyway until I get the cord to extract them. So until then I will be stealing pictures from everyone elses travel blogs and facebooks that I'm here with.
Around 3:30 we departed back for home. The train ride home seemed like it took atleast 4 hours. But in the middle of the train ride a group of about 10 people entered the train all dressed up for a festival and one for the ladies that was dressed up as a witch sat next to Brian and handed him a little bottle of liquor that he quickly downed then shouted "I love this Country!" Don't we all...
