On Tuesday, 23 June we woke up to a massive storm - rain, lightening and thunder. We were snug in our bed and just stayed there until it had passed. Clever Pinterest has been making travel suggestions to me for the last little while and one of the pics that have been popping up in my feed is of some beautiful ruins hovering over the cliff with turquoise waves crashing below. Saturday, 20 June was our last day in Puerto Merelos. We packed up our room, put on loads of sun cream and walked down the beach towards the fancy hotels... the ones that cleared the seaweed.
