Monday 17th Windermere pm

We got off the boat at Bowater and were so hot decided to get the bus back to our B&B and forgo the stop at Grasmere. However the 555 bus back only left from the Windermere Railway station so we set off up the road. All up hill, very hot and after about 1 mile decided to go back to the lake and get the Hop on Hop off bus and see if that would meet up with the 555. Shaw enough the bus eventually arrived and by now we were fried from the hot sun and sat upstairs out of the sun and the bus stopped at the railway station.

We waited for the 555 and once on board almost fell asleep from all the walking and sunshine that we had had. The only thing that perked me up was Jannie saying I'll shout you a beer when we get to the other end.

We got home after stopping and having the beer and did our correspondence before heading out for dinner. We think that we may go back to the Italian Restaurant that we went to last night. Only trouble is that neither of us feels like much. We'll see!
