The last few days in Darwin have been very hot! Yesterday we went to Howard Springs which is only about 15-20min from where we are staying in Palmerston. Unfortunately the new play area was not yet finished but Lochie and Daniel cooled off in the kids pool and waterfall. All the playing gave us an appetite, we felt like something healthy for lunch so we went to Maccas.

After our healthy lunch we all went to a park and raced Mark's remote control cars around. One of the cars has a 30cc whipper snipper motor in it, so it goes like the clappers and is a heap of fun over the grassy hills. The afternoon heat beat us so we headed for the Leanyer Water Park to cool off!

This morning we were surprised to wake up to Darwin's first rain storm of the wet season! Very refreshing!

Daniel is flying back to Brisbane on Tuesday and we plan to leave Darwin on Wednesday.
