This morning we picked up our repaired caravan and repacked our food and clothes, that we had taken out while it was at the mechanic. We then left Mount Isa and travelled across the Barkley Highway in mid 30's heat! We topped up with fuel at Camooweal as the next fuel station was the Barkley Homestead another 270km into the Northern Territory. We arrived at the Barkley Homestead at about 4pm where we immediately bought some cold drinks to quench our thirst from a very hot drive. We decided that due to the heat, I would have a sleep while Kellie and Lochie explored the grounds and then we would travel in the cool of the night to our destination at Banka Banka Station. We arrived at about 11pm and snuggled into bed for a well earned rest!
This morning we rose to a beautiful morning at Banka Banka Station. After a shower and breakfast we had a look around at all the historic memorabilia before we headed north for our next overnight stop at the Daly Waters Pub.
