WOW WOW WOW Lovely Lovely Lovely

When you have expectations of a place they are not often met as you build it up too much. This one met and exceeded. Loved it from start to finish. sad to leave. When we arrived after a 6-7 hr bus ride we went on a canal cruise boat tour. Great. Next we went on a gondola. Were serenaded and given wine to drink. On our gondola we managed to get 2 bottles. Our tour guide is getting to know us. LOL. What an amazing experience. Next day we went and visited a glass blowing factry. The venetian glass is very bright and gorgeous with prices to match. We went to a little island town called Burano. What an amazing place. All the houses are painted bright colours. It is supposedly to show the men where to go when they go out at night fishing to find there way back home. It was a lovely little place. No tourists around but us, little canals. The locals were sitting outside little cafes. One man had a piano accordian and the others were singing. What a lovely finish to our stay in Venice.
