Venice WOW WOW WOW Lovely Lovely Lovely When you have expectations of a place they are not often met as you build it up too much. This one met and exceeded. Rome Well here we are in Rome. Another busy city. Temperature in the 30s. Getting hotter as we head along on our journeys. First we went to the square Piazza Navona. There are artists all over the square with there paintings. They have entertainment here all the time which locals and tourists watch for free. Magicians, singers etc and alot of mime artists. Isle of Capri We went by ferry over to th Isle of Capri. What a lovely Island. Went up by funicular and had a walk around. Lovely views of the sea and harbour. After that we had a boat cruise that enabled us too look at Capri from the waterside. Went out and sailed into a cave. it looked like the rocks are just hanging there. You wouldn,t want any to fall down or the whole thing would go. After Capri we had a drive along the Amalfi coast line. Amazing views once...

Pompeii Pompeii is a city that was buried when Mt Vesuvius erupted suddenly. Over 30,000 people were killed. It was so sudden there are remains of people caught in everyday life. Quite scary to think of it happening and nothing you could do about it. The silly thiong is it is still an active volcanoe and living under and around it is the most populated area in europe. Florence It would be very easy to get lost on the streets of Florence. Wee side streets leading off everywhere. Gold shops and leather shops all over the place. Some genuine, some supposedly genuine. Resisted the urge to buy anything here though most of the people on our tour bought some leather items. Went and saw the famous bridge (Ponte Vecchio) with shops lining the top of it.
