Pompeii

Pompeii is a city that was buried when Mt Vesuvius erupted suddenly. Over 30,000 people were killed. It was so sudden there are remains of people caught in everyday life. Quite scary to think of it happening and nothing you could do about it. The silly thiong is it is still an active volcanoe and living under and around it is the most populated area in europe. A very interesting place to visit. You can still see the tracks that there carts and charriots made in the centre of the street.
