Munich again! Busabout stuffed up my bus so we're now staying in Munich for another 3 nights, instead of one and going to Innsbruck. We stayed with Kristen's aunty again, thank goodness we have someone to stay with! We got there about 5pm saturday, wandered up to Elvira's work and went back to her house for a beautiful home cooked meal. We had a quiet night and headed to bed pretty early to get up for our tour the next day. Sunday was our tour of the Dachau concentration camp. It was the first concentration camp and was in use the entire time hitler was in power. It wasn't an extermination camp like Auschwitz but they still had a gas chamber and crematorium. It was an eye opener and really interesting, but obviously a very depressing place. Afterwards we went back into Munich and to the hofbrauhaus for a pretzel and beer with michelle, a girl from busabout. We had another quiet night at Elvira's for dinner. Rest is so good! Monday we had a late start, Elvira was working so we headed into the town to meet up with Michelle again for lunch. We got a picnic and headed to the English gardens. They have a part of the river there that has a man made wave, it's huge and there's surfers there so we set up our picnic nearby to watch, it's so cool! We headed back to Elvira's to get ready and met a group of people at the hostel for a drink before dinner. Kristen, Michelle and myself had designed a pub crawl for the night and we had about 11 of us doing it. We went to the Augustiner beer hall for dinner and our first stein, then onto the hofbrauhaus again, and then an Irish pub afterwards. The next day we were back on the bus feeling a little rough with our limited sleep, next stop

Not so fun fact for the day: gas chambers were disguised as showers in the concentration camps to make sure the victims didn't panic and try to escape.
