Amsterdamage! We arrived in Amsterdam at about 5pm monday, checked into our hostel and got settled. We'd decided on the bus it was time for a real meal, missing the home cooked meals a bit. Send some leftovers over here thanks mum! 6 of us went to the shops, bought supplies for a chicken stirfry, got absolutely drenched by the rain on our way home, and made dinner. I've missed vegies so much, it was delicious. We got ready and wandered towards the red light district. That place is an eye opener, we wandered around before finding somewhere for a quiet drink before heading home around midnight.
Tuesday we did a bike tour, exploring the countryside and visiting a cheese farm. We got back around 3pm, did a little shopping and headed back to the hostel to get ready for our pub crawl. Another big night for us, we visited about 4 pubs and I finally turned in at about 5am.
Wednesday we had a sleep in, then bought supplies for a picnic in Vondel Park in the sunshine! After a nap we once again headed for the red light district. We had a typical Dutch dish, mashed potato with carrot & onion, served with a large meatball, delicious! Explored again, took some photos and went back to the hostel bar and met some more new people.
We left at 8am this morning, said goodbye to Aleesha as she's staying in Amsterdam and we've currently got about half an hour until we arrive in Berlin. We've only got one night here, and we head to Prague tomorrow, lovely!
