Another couple of days in Munich. We woke up to 22 degrees and rain yesterday so decided a day spent indoors would be best. After our Skype dates we headed into town for a wander and lunch in a cafe on the fifth floor overlooking the marienplatz. Beautiful view & amazing food! We wandered the town for a while and explored a stunning church before heading back to get our packs. A bus and train later we were at our hostel ready to check in, only to discover our booking was for the next night, and we'd got our days mixed up, whoops! Back onto the train and bus to Elvira's house we went. We walked to a beautiful Greek restaurant for dinner & had the best souvlaki's! I can't deal with this amount of food anymore, it's way too much!
Today we've been to a beautiful castle, walked around and explored the gardens there, the cafe reminded me of somewhere you'd enjoy mum. We're now back at Elvira's for a chilled afternoon before heading to the hostel later!

Fun fact for today: King Ludwig used all of the governments money to build his castles, we visited one today, it was stunning. He enjoyed being by himself and would sit for weeks in the darkness of his castles alone. Therefore he was declared as crazy. He drowned in a lake, in the company of his doctor, and the mystery remains whether he drowned alone or was forced into the lake.
