Another day in Munich! Today is Elvira's birthday so we had a late start, got ready and headed for lunch right on a lake. We had lunch with Elvira's friends, Martha and Wolfgang. Martha is Scottish and Wolfgang is German. We had peppers stuffed with goats cheese for entree, and fresh fish from the lake for main. Absolutely beautiful food, Germans eat so much! I can't keep up! We went back to Martha and Wolfgang's cute little German house and enjoyed a strawberry cake for dessert. We're now on our way home, we've had a stop to look at a beautiful church and also to look over the lake. Stunning views! I can't believe how tired I'm getting here. We're driving through a rainforest right now, with tall straight trees that remind me of the dandenongs.
Fun fact for the day: at about 5-6pm in country areas like this the deer start to cross the road for feeding time, they leave their cute little babies (aka Bambi) in big fields of long grass on one side of the road because they can't be seen.
And following up from yesterday's fun fact. In the countryside they put different things up on the may pole to signify different things. So when someone has a baby it'll have baby toys and clothes hung from it, and when people get married it'll have a veil and roses on it.
