Beautiful Prague! We arrived at about 2pm on Friday night, an hour and a half ahead of schedule, lovely. It was so hot, such a shock to the system. We spent the afternoon doing our washing and lying outside in the sun. We had a typical Czech dinner, a potato and onion soup served in a bread bowl, so good! Followed by ribs, Tom you would've been in heaven, they were huge! And about 8 Australian dollars. Czech is so cheap, it's great. We socialised in the hostel bar, and I met up with a girl I went to school with. She just happened to be at the same hostel with contiki, crazy. We had a few drinks before heading to bed.
Saturday we had a slow start and eventually made it into town to explore. We walked the beautiful streets and went to the Prague castle, which is amazing. The steps up are a good workout in the heat! We wandered some more before heading back to the hostel. We got ready and headed out with about 30 people from busabout to eat, drink and watch Czech play Poland in the eurocup. We went to the beer factory, where you have a tap on the table and pour your own beers. There's a tally of how many litres each table has poured and it ends up as a bit of a race. Our table lost, I had one beer. We moved onto another bar to watch the game, Czech won! By this day I'd developed a sore throat, and could feel myself getting sick so we didn't have a late night.
Sunday we had another slow start. About 10 of us had breakfast at a bagel cafe, delicious! Another day spent chilling at the hostel and trying to shake off my cold. We had dinner and a few social drinks before heading to bed.
Next stop, Vienna!
