Crazy Saturday Otavalo market, balcony photo shoot, Peguche waterfall, no hot springs and one last street food experience.....
It's hard to say exactly how much the market expanded on Saturday, but I would have to say at least by twice, seeing how it was already pretty huge to begin with on Saturday you could spend the whole day there and not see the whole thing!
There was almost everything you could imagine in this place but we were focused on alpaca things. We bought a blanket, jackets, toques, gloves and socks. I also found a beautifully handmade sweater with natural colors. Mom found a really nice handmade backpack as well. Back at the hotel we did a little bit of a balcony photo shoot with the market in the background.
Afterwards we headed up to the recommended Peguche waterfall. It was a beautiful waterfall and the trail to get there was very user-friendly which made us both happy! On our way out we found a man who was making handmade woodcrafts so I got him to make one with Cristina's and my name on it. Our friends from last night had called us but we decided it was too late to go and we needed to pack our stuff so we declined the offer. We went out for dinner and instead of getting some chicken and fries from the same place we had enjoyed the other day we decided to go for street food! We found a place with really delicious plates and enjoyed what would be our last street food meal of the trip......
