Spent two days traveling from Boracay to El Nido. 1 boat, 2 flights, 2 buses and 4 tuk tuks!! Definitely not easy to travel the Philippines. And all the terminal fees are a joke at the airports! Finally got here, even with a cold. Hostel is way too small. Three tier bunk beds, which is fine but where do we all put our bags. Nightmare trying to get ready! First impressions of Boracay is it's very commercial. Plenty of resorts, shops and restaurants which is okay but i think i prefer the life when there's s no tourist and just the locals. Loads to do here from water sports, bars, island hopping, cliff jumping and boat parties. Difficult to decide what to do as it's much more expensive here than anywhere else. Don't really fancy any party boats, as i imagine them being full of Korean tourists with life jackets on. W...

Stayed one night Kalibo to go Boracay the next day. We had dodgy landing, the plane touched the tarmac then lifted off again for a short while then back down again. When getting a tuk tuk to our hotel, there was this Christian parade in the streets. They go all out here to celebrate holy week. I made a mistake when booking a flight. It reads as "Kalibo to Puerto Princesa", but when checking over flight details, the flight is "Kalibo - Cebu - Puerto Princesa". Ho...
