Arriving in Kula Lumpur was fine by bus, but what a nightmare getting to our volunteering hostel. No one knew where the stop was for bus number 300, found it finally after asking 3 police officers. Cameron highlands is much colder due to it being a few thousand feet above sea level. Such a shame that 40% of it's woodland has been cut down and more to come down as the Malaysian Government is so corrupt, they take bribes from the rich, left, right and centre. Flight took 45 minutes to get to Penang which didn't even feel like 10 minutes. Was advised to get the airport bus to the accommodation which only cost 50p for 1 hour on the bus. In George town area in Penang. I love this town well city now since 2015. Has so much character and old historic buildings. Our hostel "The Frame" is a converted warehouse building and it's so nice and modern, so nice in fact we have booked extra nights. We plan to stay here for 10 days....

In Langkawi-Malaysia, definitely a big change from Thailand, very much a muslim country. Hired some bikes for few days and explored the island. Went to some cool water fall and private beach, there wasn't many people on this beach, so peaceful.
