First impressions of Boracay is it's very commercial. Plenty of resorts, shops and restaurants which is okay but i think i prefer the life when there's s no tourist and just the locals. Loads to do here from water sports, bars, island hopping, cliff jumping and boat parties. Difficult to decide what to do as it's much more expensive here than anywhere else. Don't really fancy any party boats, as i imagine them being full of Korean tourists with life jackets on. Went to White Beach as it's a huge beach, one long strip with loads bars and restaurants. Sunset on white beach is picturesque but very busy, great for people watching. When planning our week here, the top thing to do here is island hopping, but we have seen so many island beaches, getting pretty boring. It's a tough life i know. It was a right ordeal to find bicycles to rent as everything on this island is way out of our price range. It's even expensive for England, never mind Asia! Finally found some bikes and cycled to another beach called Pukka beach. Much more a chilled beach with many reggae bars. I met my twin on Pukka beach, had similar hair style and face. And i met up with them at night for few drinks and beer pong. There was a group of 8 them who all work in Dubai now, really cool people. Weirdly, they all met in Dubai but they all have either lived in Leicester or has family there. One of the lads used to play for West Ham, but he owns his own football coaching school in Dubai.
I some how managed to change my padlock code and so I couldn't get into my locker. Good job an American guy checked in to my room he knew a bit about locks. He unlocked my padlock the clever s***, bit scary that he can unpick most locks!
To sum up Boracay would be just drinking and partying, that's all there is to do, that's worth doing. Lots of 2 for 1 on drinks at Epic bar and Exit bar. Although a night life in Asia comes with all the creepy lady boys and seedy people. I would come back here for a 2 week holiday with plenty of money, i would love it then. All transport from and too Boracay was fairly easy, as it's all well set up for us to commute from the airport. It's also nice that all our flights are an hour or less. Doesn't even feel like you have been up in the air for 10 mins, by the time you stick your iPod in.
