Flight took 45 minutes to get to Penang which didn't even feel like 10 minutes. Was advised to get the airport bus to the accommodation which only cost 50p for 1 hour on the bus. In George town area in Penang. I love this town well city now since 2015. Has so much character and old historic buildings. Our hostel "The Frame" is a converted warehouse building and it's so nice and modern, so nice in fact we have booked extra nights. We plan to stay here for 10 days. Dropped our bags off after checking in and went for some food. The food is amazing here (The best food so far) and so cheap, 80p for a large dish. I asked this Asian looking girl to help me order food as she seemed to speak English and Malaysian, but little did I know she was from China and arrived at the same time as me, she got so confused as to what i was saying, it was so funny. I just assumed she was Malaysian.
We had a few beers in the Reggae bar which just had young travelers in. The owner crammed us on this table full of girls, good man! However, on the way home, the strangest, smelliest and i mean the smelliest of Indian men approached us asking where we are from, saying he has a brother who lives in England, obviously in London as they all do over here. He was hugging us and kissing us on the cheek, almost kissed Kyle. Kyle shouted 'NO NO NO What you doing'! Haha. He smelt that bad that we both had to have a wash when we got in, our t-shirts still stunk of stale b.o.!
