In Langkawi-Malaysia, definitely a big change from Thailand, very much a muslim country. Hired some bikes for few days and explored the island. Went to some cool water fall and private beach, there wasn't many people on this beach, so peaceful. Drove up to the 360 degree view point of Langkawi which took over 30 minutes up this dark and deserted mountain. The only thing insight was Kyle, monkeys and cows, and of course the view. However it was worth it, the view was spectacular, you could see neighbouring Malaysia. Booked a flight from Langkawi to Penang as it was cheaper than the ferry, madness! Cenang beach in Langkawi is a breath of fresh air, theres a good 25 metres of sand from the sea to the bars. I'm only used to like 5 metres depth of sand haha. The language here is a completely different ball game. As with all the other South Asian countries, their general words have all sounded the same, but Malaysian is completely different. The food here is so good though, i had fried tuti fruiti ice cream, basically a donut with ice cream inside. And i really don't know why everyone we spoke to traveling has said how expensive it is here, it really isn't, it's probably cheaper than Thailand.
Biked to the other side of the island to relax on a beach, got there, not one sole around! 5 minutes later, 6 creepy old people turn up, they're everywhere. And the old men for some reason love wearing speedos
