Spent the day at the Ekka, a Queensland festival. It was a public holiday in Brisbane too so it was pretty busy but we were still able to test some food samples, look at the cats, dogs and farm animals and look at some great artwork and photography.
Highlights were certainly the triple cheese toastie, the Bertie Beetle $2 bag and the delicious strawberry sundae (as pictured above).
The event ended with a colourful firework display which involved horses with LED lights on them and quad bikes with flames and kites on fire. Pretty cool!
