Took a sailing boat to Michaelmas Bay on the Great Barrier Reef. The sea was pretty choppy! Went snorkelling on the reef and saw a large range of coral and beautiful, colourful fish. Our highlight was definitely the turtles though. We were lucky enough to see three of them! The first one was missing a back leg but was really friendly. Started the morning with a scrumptious breakfast at Jam Pantry in Greenslopes (Brisbane). Had french toast with balsamic strawberries, beetroot and apple jam and candied tangelo rind. Yum! Flew to Cairns to start a mini break in the sun. Staying in a lovely hotel apartment with lounge and balcony. Went for a walk along the esplonade and checked out some bars. Had some tasty Japanese Raman at Ganbaramba Noodle Colosseum for dinner and did some amazingly touristy ...

A beautiful 5km walk along the Jenyns circuit in a eucalyptus forest surrounded by hoop pines, brush box and grey gums. Saw a friendly Pademelon (a small Wallaby) and a couple of Monach Butterflies on our walk. Had a yummy lunch at The Polish Place with a range of feathered friends.

Opening night dinner at Zeus Greek restaurant followed by a walk around Southbank. After a shower Cider, of course!
