17May today and day 23 of our walk and the weather is still holding out, beautiful blue skies again. Forecast is for rain tonight.
Great walking today, mostly beside quiet roads and though it was quite flat the colours we vivid greens and yellow soil and lots of different trees. We had lots of laughs making up stories about the people we meet all quite harmless. The numbers of pilgrims seemed to be less today although we’re not staying in an Albergue tonight, we’re in a small hotel that Raewyn found us on Booking. Com. It’s very quiet for a change and we got a humungus meal in the hotel restaurant (see Raewyn’s blog for photo) for 7 euros about 12 dollars.
We’re in Sahagun tonight a small town rather than a village and the people are so nice and friendly. They are used to sharing their town with pilgrims and say Buen Camino as if they mean it.
All at home seems to be going according to plan and time is speeding along I’ll be home before I know it. All my best wishes for your performance on Saturday Kezia and Phoebe you have to tell me all about handball you could write me a little message eh.
