Day nine of our walk and we’ve arrived at our home for the night after 18 kms to a place called Viana. We passed lots of vineyards and olive groves, some crops we can’t identify but may be lentils as we have had a lot of delicious lentil soup. We mostly eat in the hostels for an extra 10 euros everyone sits down at the same time, tonight it’s 6.30 and I could eat a horse. All this fresh air makes you hungry. I’ve been enjoying not having to think of what to have.
We’ve met some great people from all over the world. You might not see them for a day or so and then you meet them again as we’re all going in the same direction only at different speeds. Raewyn and I are on schedule so can have a shorter day if we want to soon.
We’re still finding lots of songs we haven’t sung as we go along. Keep those messages coming Kezia and Phoebe and see if you can plot where we’re going on a map. Poppa is enjoying the three of you calling in to keep him company. Talk on the phone soon Nan
