It was more like Wales than Spain today with a steady drizzle, eventually replaced by low grey clouds. We sailed 25 miles to our first Ria. Ria are drowned river valleys which we would call a sound in Britain. They provide excellent shelter from the Atlantic Ocean. As we entered the final Chanel a huge dolphin performed a spectacular leap from the water. It played with us until the water was too shallow. The only thing it did not do was stand on its tail!
In the next Ria there is a huge Celtic music festival for the next four days. It may get crowded.
