Should we or shouldn't we buy a pasarelle? Almost all marinas here are stern to mooring and our plank is needed to reach the shore. Sue is not keen on walking the plank so we have been looking at pasarelles. They are much better value for money here. In the end we decided to sleep on it and decide how we feel in a few days.
We left Villajoysia for Calpe which has a 1000 foot rock towering over the marina. We had a good down wind sail in hazy visibility. Unfortunately the rock is funnelling the wind and so we have another windy berth, the story of the trip so far. It requires all the crew working together to make sure we get the "slime line" on before the bow is blown off and we bump into neighbouring boats.
We had a walk around the town and the beach on the other side of the rock is completely tranquil. Perhaps we should have anchored here?
We had an excellent dinner in the marina club restaurant before retiring for the night. The picture shows Jim's fish in salt main course.
