A much shorter day today but there was no wind so motored all the way to Gijon. There we encountered past boats, the Dutch yachts were already moored up when we arrived and the four British gunboats were also tied up.
We wanted to fuel up but the Gunboats were filling up with 2,000 litres so we squeezed on to the pontoon in front of them and filled up at the same time. In UK waters you cannot go within 50 metres of a Royal Navy vessel and 200 metres of one in active service, however this seems not to apply in Spanish waters. Later we has a wander around the town and beaches before finding a restaurant for dinner. Ian and I had tapas which was disappointing. Marianne had chops which were much better, we have noticed that the Spanish are not very keen on vegetables with their meals.
