Fri, Part 1 - A great day of motorcycling. Left Sibiu early this morning and headed for the Transfagarasan Pass (as featured on Top Gear and built by Ceausescu in the 1970s). Roads were much better than we had expected and we completed the route by lunchtime. Stopped for lunch in a village in the middle of no where. Couldn't really find anything to buy in the local Mini Market so lunch was a packet of crisps sitting on a bench painted like the Romanian flag. Saw lots of horses today, pulling carts and working in the fields. As we approached Bran the mountains became much more alpine. We were looking forward to an early finish in Bran when things started to go wrong.....
