Guess who's been round the Nurburgring on a motorbike? It was wet so we didn't set any lap records but we both made it round in one piece! We're in a very nice hotel tonight only 2km from the Nurburgring entrance. We should be able to get most of the way back to England tommorow. Looking forward to getting back home now!

Arrived in Dusseldorf at 9.30. Sleeping on the train wasn't easy as the carriage seemed to move around a lot and the train was quite noisy - but not too bad. Seems much colder now :-(

Visited the Eagles Nest today (Hitler's mountain retreat). 2 hour hike down followed by Apple Strudel. Tried using our free bus passes (for all hotel visitors) to get there, but on arriving at the bus station were advised by the man behind the desk that we would be better off going by motorbike!

Sunset over Berchtesgaden after another 200 mile day. We're now 1 day ahead of schedule though after out first week. 1300 miles so far, 7 countries. Forgotten how many border crossings. We've not had to show passports once since leaving home!
