James and I were still pretty tired this morning so we stayed in with a; drunk from the night before Ciara, who still managed to rustle up eggs-what a champ, and a slightly less hungover Amanda. We watched crappy TV and stole some program's from Gethin to watch on our laptop when we're alone again, heaven forbid we have to talk to each other!
I had planned to meet Sammy O (a friend from uni) at Manly in the early evening. James and I finally dragged ourselves away from the sofa and took the ferry across to Manly. We didn't talk for the whole journey, not because we were moody with each other, no just a much more interesting pair sat next to us. Imagine rich teenage American girls who use the phrases 'oh my God' and 'that is so cute' in every other sentence. Now make those girls into women around our age who are getting to know each other and live in a cosmopolitan city of Sydney, that's who we sat next to. It was so embarrassing and entertaining at the same time-like, that is sooo cute!
When we got to Manly we realised we had to go back to talking to each other and not ear wigging so we treated ourselves to fish and chips at the harbour before relaxing for 1/2 hour on the beach.
We are not great at sunbathing so soon wandered up and down the coastline and found another frozen yoghurt shop so just had to treat ourselves again.
6:00 came and we met Sammy O in a cool bar right on the harbour. It was great to see her and to catch up, albeit briefly, on what we've been up to in the last five years.
We got the ferry back over to Sydney harbour and it was a stunning scene. All the lights were lighting the city so we frantically took pictures and managed to send some to family as the ferry had wi-fi. It was also very strange timing as I got a message from our friend Ben about good things to do in Oz and one was to catch the ferry from Manly-one mind Ben, one mind!
We hurried back to Ciara and Gethin's as the final of MKR was on. Joking, we couldn't care less but it was funny to see how excited Amanda was about the whole thing!
