Beth's Missions DONE
Amanda had to move her last few bits out and tidy up so we met Corey at the station and everyone got into Monica and said bye to the strange animal (negro) and the presence of Frank as we hadn't actually met him!
We were given our instructions for where to catch the train and where to get off from Amanda, Ciara and Gethin. The journey wasn't too long and we got to Bondi beach with ease. It was here I had to complete a task that had been set almost a year ago now. My task was simple but cringey, I had to get the autograph of some of the lifeguards at Bondi for Beth. This was her only request when I left (and to not get married when I was away!) So despite being slightly embarrassed I got three lifeguards autograph! The first guy was slightly bemused as to my reasoning for wanting this but the other guys were very cas, they must be the famous ones! Bondi was rammed so we were pleased we weren't staying here it was just the starting point of our walk to another beach called Coogee. The walk was as beautiful as I had anticipated with plenty of Kodak moments both of the scenery and the women running with a full face of make up and strangely still jubblies! It was nice to spend more time with Corey and a great way of exercise without even realising it.
When we got to Coogee I was starving so we found Amanda and co and headed straight into the town for pie and beers, a fitting tribute to an Australian beach walk. We chilled out on the grass for a few hours just enjoying the sun and the relief of the cold air when the sun went down. We did feel for Rob when Amanda was texting him, I think he may have wished he was with us at that moment! Corey had to say goodbye as he had a train to catch back to the 'gong'. We all promised we would honour is offer of staying with him when we visit the US. Us three left soon after but we had to go a slightly different way back, apparently the bus to Newtown from Bondi is always late. Never fear we got back quickly as we were keeping pace with Amanda! We had a quick change around before catching the train into Darling Harbour to watch the (free) fireworks. They were fantastic a great end to a lovely day. Amanda is pretty hardcore and went to another friends party James and I had to take a rain check, we were pooped!
