We had a beautiful day at the beach today! Rachelle, Darren, Claudius, and Milly joined us at North Beach, just outside Wallaroo where we went snorkelling, swimming, and just chilled on the beach all day. We had some great fish and chips for lunch and then packed up and went geocaching on some of the dirt roads along the shore. Today we woke up to find that Layla had been visited by the tooth fairy after losing a stubborn tooth the day before. We then went with Rachelle and Claudius to check out Burra, a historical copper mining town north of Clare. We wandered down mainstreet, had tea at Rachelle's favorite cafe and then headed off to the copper mine and started to do some Geocaching. It was starting to warm up and we were able to get some great shots, even got to meet a little lizard ...

Tonight we went with Rose Hampel to the Sevenhill Vineyard and Winery to see Shakespeare in the Vines. Each year a travelling Shakespeare troupe stops here to put on a show. This year it was "Midsummer Night's Dream". We packed our picnic basket and bought a bottle of wine from the vineyard and watched Shakespeare on the lawn of a beautiful winery. Layla absolutely loved the play and we were all in stitches by the end. A great evening!

Happy Birthday Leanne! We had a very interesting day today. I received an email at about 8:00 saying, "Darren!!!! I can't get out of the House!!!!" and there was a photo of a large, hairy, Huntsman Spider sitting outside the window staring in. They are harmless and are actually quite helpful because they eat insects and other spiders. Either way, it had to go. We had a great Sunday altogether. After waking up to a cool and comfortable house we had biscuits hot from the oven and had a great breakfast together. Leanne convinced Layla and Darren to try Vegemite for the first time, on a biscuit. So we did...ugh...I don't know why anyone would eat that on purpose, let alone pay for it in a store! After that we went out to plant our garden. It was nice and cool and the sun was starting to come up, so it made for a great day...
