We had a great Sunday altogether. After waking up to a cool and comfortable house we had biscuits hot from the oven and had a great breakfast together. Leanne convinced Layla and Darren to try Vegemite for the first time, on a biscuit. So we did...ugh...I don't know why anyone would eat that on purpose, let alone pay for it in a store!

After that we went out to plant our garden. It was nice and cool and the sun was starting to come up, so it made for a great day of planting. We have potatoes, corn, carrots, beans, and lettuce in the ground right now. It will be up to Layla to keep it watered. Oh, and as Darren was churning up the soil for the potatoes we spotted our first snake go slithering by. It was very fast and we didn't have a camera handy, so we can't show any pictures but it was approximately 8 inches long and was brown and black. We hope he doesn't like the taste of potatoes! After the garden it was off to the rest of the yard to chop down some of the jungle that Ben had overtaking his house. Layla enjoyed this part!

Layla had her first play-date with Cassandra this afternoon too. After Cassandra comes home we are hosting our first Barbecue with Darren, Rachelle, Claudius and Milly!
