We drove on the next day to Port Lincoln and checked out the fishing boats and had a bite to eat along the foreshore. It is a beautiful town. We then drove north again to Cowell where we stayed the night at a caravan park with a pool!! Layla was elated. We had to stay in Cowell so we could catch the ferry from Lucky Bay to Wallaroo the next day and get home to see how our chooks fared without us. The ferry ride was about 2 hours long and rolled along the sea quite a bit. Layla said it was like being a baby in a cradle!

It was a great road trip where we saw some amazing scenery and did some once-in-a-lifetime things, but at the end of it all it was nice to get home to a familiar bed.
