On Friday I took the day off of school (which was an international incident involving 2 teacher's unions) and we headed into Adelaide to pick up Zack Fleming and Emily Leggette who have been travelling around Australia for the past 3 weeks and were in need of a real bed in a real home and some real food...so we took them camping!

We headed first to Gorge Wildlife Park (again) to see the wallabies, kangaroos, and of course the koalas. It was a lot of fun and we got to pet two dingos!

After that it was back to Clare for a spaghetti dinner and to pack for the weekend's camping trip to the Yorke Peninsula. We headed out at 10:00 on Saturday and went straight to Suicide Beach. It was beautiful and we were the only ones there! We body boarded for about 2 hours and then decided to hunt down a beach-front campsite. It was windy and cold all night so we headed to bed early on the rooftop tent and listened to the wind and rain all night long. We got up early and headed home as it was grey and rainy.

It was really great to see some people from home and to listen to people without an accent for a few days. Layla really enjoyed seeing Emily and had a hard time saying good bye to her.
