On Saturday we headed in to Adelaide after Layla was done playing netball against BBH (they won too!). We got there early to do some shopping and hang out at Rundle Mall where Layla saw her first arrest by a police officer.
We walked down to the Adelaide Oval at about 4:30 thinking we would have a very long, lonely time at the stadium, but upon reaching the river we saw the thousands of people already lining up to get their tickets and seats.
We were lucky enough to get our passes from Mr. Knight at the high school as his son, Riley plays for the SANFL Crows. We were seated in the members' area (season ticket holders) and had great seats. The game started and it wasn't long before we all got into the hype of shouting and cheering and trying to figure out what the rules were. Luckily for us, a father and daughter were seated behind us from Burra and were more than willing to explain the intricacies of the game. It was a great game, the Crows beat the pants off of the North Melbourne Kangaroos. We are already looking forward to our next game.
