The photo is me in the distance and I'm sorry it's upside down. I'm among the ancient sites of Viterbo - the city in Italy with the most medieval buildings we are told. But I am feeling pretty sorry for myself as I've had a horrible cold for the last two days and have had do do a day by bus as I was feeling ropey. Surprising to see so many African men who are staying in refuges and who on the streets as we go further south. Gave a few Euros to a young man from Nigeria - the wealthiest country in Africa! - who was here in Viterbo. I can't think this is going down well with the locals who are quite traditional people and haven't been used to migration before. Roger has been looking after me while I've felt ill, lots of pizzas and red wine so I hope I'm going to be ok for the road tomorrow. The forecast is for the weather to be getting warmer but you probably don't need to hear that if you reading this in England.
