Geraldton
Cool and rainy today, only about 19 degrees and quite windy too. We will be so glad when we finally head up further north and get some much warmer weather.
Went back to the hospital to get a blood test done, and then drove up to the HMAS Sydney memorial which is on the hill overlooking the town. The warship was sunk out to sea off Geraldton during WW2, losing all crew on board. It had come under fire from a German ship which also sunk without trace. Very sad. They have a sphere made up of 645 flying gulls said to represent every life lost on the day. There is also the statue of the "waiting woman" who scans the horizon looking for the ship forever.
Later I was dropped off home and Lauri and Ben went to the supermarket to get some things and also some fish and chips for dinner. Nice to have an easy takeaway tonight.
Geelong were playing the Bulldogs tonight so after dinner watched the game, ended up a good match and we won in the end.
