Fremantle to Cervantes
Cool day today, only about 19 with a chilly breeze. Looking forward to getting up north and having the warmer weather.
Walked down to the beach this morning to have a look, quite nice. Then we left just before 10. After another quick trip to get a few more things from the supermarket we set off north following the coast most of the way. Stopped off for some lunch at City Beach Cambridge. Lovely spot with white sand and blue water. The sun was shining and although it was still quite cool it was very pleasant.
Then drove another 2 hours or so to Cervantes. The countryside has changed a lot now, lots of flat plains covered in blackboys and other scrubby native plants. And a lot of white sand dunes inland from the sea. Apparently thousands of years ago the sea receded leaving these huge sand dunes.
Pulled into the Cervantes Holiday Park for the night.
