Day 9 We got up late and went to Russian River Campground wher we had to queue for a tent space with Mr & Mrs RV. We got to our site on top of a hill and spent ages rigging an elaborate tarp over our table, we searched for firewood and Ian wittled some poles for the tarp. We ten went on the Russian River walk where we set off in the wrong direction at first. We followed the trail to Russian River falls where we watched the salmon jumping up the falls, amazing! No pictures though as they were too damned quick. At the falls there were huge 1m long ink salmon. We then took the other terail to Russian River Lake, a long walk but beautifuul views of the lake, we made our own trail through the wood to the lake itself but not a great view. On the way back we met a redneck(literally as he was sunburned) with a large handgun. After a hearty meal of popcorn (which Claire set fire to) and a steak cooked over a campfire we hit the sack.
