Day 8 We woke up to a bunch of angry squirrels squeaking and throwing fir cones at us. After breckie overlooking the lake we packed and collected our untoughed bearbin. Claire suddenly spotted a bald eagle, it circled above us, amazing, huge bird yellow tallens then Ian saw a periguin falcon chasing another bird. We returned to the Kenai Wildlife refuge and had a proper talk to one of the rangers she recommended some good hikes and campgrounds for our last few days. We first went to the Kenai River lookout about a miles hike to a great view of the canyon, where we passed two foshermen with a gun incase of bears. We then did the west loop of the Kenai River walk, hard work and very badly marked trail, saw loads of bear and Moose scat but nothing else. Itvwas a beautiful and bizarre walk though a burnt forrest, silver and black burned trees. We camped at Hidden Lake that evening, bought some woos from the host and after dinner danced to jamie Cullen by our campfire(see photo) Later on we went bear and Moose spotting in the forrest, very foolish and a bit foolish as black bears were around the place. Luckily we saw nothing and off to bed.
