Day 10 - 16 Nov 14 - Wales
We were woken up early in the morning by the kids at 530am. Tried to get them to sleep a little longer but was unsuccessful. So, we decided to get ready early and have breakfast at 8am. We had the restaurant all to ourselves (the rest of the other guests were probably still sound asleep). The morning was tranquil and we really enjoyed our breakfast.
At about 10am, Emma left for the last session of the conference with the rest. I stayed at the inn to look after the kids. It was initially tough trying to get the younger one to sleep (Thank God for Jocelyn who helped to watch Le so that I could try to put Yu to bed). When Yu finally slept, Le came over and lo and behold, Yu was woken up by Le and I had to repeat the whole cycle of trying to pat the former so that he could fall asleep again.
Thank God that Le was understanding and cooperative. After being by himself reading books and occasionally pressing incessantly the Home button on my Samsung mobile, he climbed up the bed and slept by himself. Yu slept soon thereafter and I joined the blissfuls and dozed off as well.
After Emma came back from the conference, we had lunch at the restaurant at Salutation Inn. After that, Franjoce (with kids) and Denise went to Ffald-y-Brenin retreat centre to spend the afternoon while Peiks, Emma and I stayed behind. We spent our time doing some packing so that it wouldn't be mad rush tomorrow morning.
At about 4pm plus, we drove to Newport. Initially, we had wanted to hang out at a nice cafe for a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the cafes were all closed by the time when we arrived. So, we just went to the nearby supermarket to grab some stuff for our road trip to Glasgow tomorrow.
In the evening, we had dinner at 6pm at The Canteen. The sky was already dark. I had pizza for it seemed to be the restaurant's specialty. After dinner, we came back to the inn. I went to bed at about 10pm plus, the earliest time I slept throughout this trip. Bliss.
