A typical Indian city busy with traffic, people and more traffic! My theory behind enjoying a place is that I need to deserve to be in a relaxing place. If I were to jump from one relaxing place to another, I wouldn't be able to appreciate the tranquility it has to offer. That is the reason why the chaos of the city is a healthy part of my travel itinerary, and the great thing is that it works both ways for me I love the buzz of the city and vibe of the beach towns.

The zoo had a surprising variety of animals ranging from hippos to bears, in open air pens with a fair amount of space, but the areas were arranged so that the animals would be on show. The Indian spectators were more entertaining to watch, ignoring signs of do not agitate animals by shouting and trying to rattle the crocodile enclosure. The snake den was a conveyor belt of shuffling people taking photos on their mobile phones at the fascinating snake species.

I was deciding to head back up to cooler Munnar when I was recommended by several people to head down to the southern tip where the three oceans meet. Having already booked my bus ticket to Munnar, I made a day trip to Kanyakumari.
