Varkala was quiet due to the low season, which made it more relaxing and peaceful. Another superbly average beach but the chilled out people and the food at the café was amazing. The café owner had a room to rent and got one for cheap, I only ate at the café as the food was really good, and yes the cheesecakes were divine!

Bumping into a couple I had met before, invite me out for a drink, an empty bottle of rocket fuel later, I crash landed into bed in the early hours of the morning. Waking the next day in the afternoon, I got myself a 'hangover' juice which gradually stopped my head from spinning, whilst talking to a couple of German girls who were telling me about their trip to the Andaman Islands…

Another place which has been highly recommended, with horror stories of traveling by boat, a flight is a must…

A strike in Trivandrum and the hangover kept me in Varkala for another day, but was soon off to the capital of Kerala for a little chaos!
