As soon as I was off the plane I was speaking my Hinglish! People giving me funny looks and asking where I was from and my response to them is "I'm from England", but the true question is "Where am I from?" Yes parents are Indian, but I was born in England...

I've surprised people with my hinglish, I also got a a reduced ticket at Red Fort because the kind lady took pity on my daily budget!

Hotel booked into was my marble cell in Hotel Vishal, where the first night I got eaten alive. Learnt my lesson so got the mossy net out which made my room look like a true palace, with white drpped netting. That wasn't the only magyver-ish thing I did, I also got my washingline up in my room! Well I was impressed with my efforts!

Many backpackers in this area, got chatting to a few who were travelling the world to, finding out where they are from, exchanging travel plans...

Touts are a menace and come in many forms, they are out to get your money, but when you do get a reasonable-ish price with any of them they'll be the sweetest and most helpful person in the world. In some cases I'd want to give them more money for being so helpful and considerate, but I know I've already payed over the odds for the package, whether it's a tour or a hotel operator.

Strange scheme's for people to earn money, got this lad wanting to clean my ears! Made me feel a little uncomfortable as he was wanting to stare down my ears, and described them as "oh dirty sir, let me clean" (Cheeky little..) And as soon as he left this zombie hovered over with oils wanting to massage me! I got up and left from where I was taking a little breather.

Food is cheap and spicy! Alot of parantha's, dosa's, idli's... Connected to my hotel is a german bakery, and I'm a sucker for their lemon cheesecake. I just cant wait to get to Mumbai for some fresh bhel puri, pav bhaji...

Booked my train to Chandighar in second class, got a 5 hour journey to look forward to... but will probably be back after travelling the north to get a train/bus down south.
