Leg 8 race 12 day 8 Monday
Woken at 5.30 had a coffee and up on deck by 6. It was calm sunny and hot. Just had shorts and t shirt on with plenty of sun cream. We still had code 1 up with not a lot of wind. The crew on deck helped us gybe before they came off shift. Took some photos of our crew and though we saw some dolphins but not close enough to take a photo. Shift went quickly really chilled and hot. Came off watch and had a strip wash in the heads. Then washed out my shorts and t shirt and and a t shirt for Carl. Tied them onto a sail tie at the back of the boat to dry in the sun. We have covered around 1600 miles so half way to Derry. Watched a film in my off watch in a wind hole so not going very fast. Couldn't sleep at all so went on deck early to chat to dragons. Had dinner then onto our watch.Had code 1 up not a lot to do through shift then at end helped to next shift jibe. Into bed just after 10pm had a really good nights sleep. Boat just rocking slowly.
