Our last full day in Tenerife was always going to be a lazy day. Following breakfast my mother went for a massage while Alan & I did our best to sunbathe in the wind by the pool. We managed a good few hours before cashing in our spa vouchers. The hotel only provides one free days use of the spa, something that is not mentioned on their website. It was certainly fun to pop into, but I wud not like to have had to pay for the facility. The heated salt water pool had a number of jets & waterbeds. There was the usual sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, & plunge pool. Alongside this was a bi-thermal pebble walkway, a shower circuit, heated indoor sunloungers & probably most fun for it simplicity a bucket. You pulled the lever & got a bucket of 15degree water poured all over you.
Today we took lunch in the restaurant for the first time this week. Despite our plans on having a light lunch, we ended up eating more than we should.
We attempted some more sunbathing after lunch, but the wind was winning the battle with the sun.
At 17:00 I had a leg massage arranged for me. This was my first experience of a massage session & was very relaxing, if strange.
Being the last night we had decided to dine in the A la carte restaurant for a relaxed final meal. The food & wine once again did not disappoint, & was much more enjoyable than eating upstairs in a full hotel.
