Initially I had thought of using today to explore the North of the island for a wine tasting. Looking into this however would have meant a very early start & many hours on a coach.
Instead we all opted to head to play golf after a leisurely breakfast. Golf de Sur has been one of the option see had been considering to stay at. Upon arriving we were pleased with our decision not too. Although our resort is close to the airport & planes are taking off regularly. They are far overhead by the time they go past us. At Golf de Sur the planes are coming into land & are considerably more noisy.
After squaring away in the pro shop we sat on the patio for a very light lunch. Counting the approaching aircraft as they popped overhead.
When we approached the tee our three ball was made into a fourball. A Danish lad with his father caddying played with us, & we're very good company. I managed to not loose a ball till the 7th hole. My dad managed seven holes out of the nine as well. On a windy day we were still able to get out in the sun & enjoy ourselves. I won the mini tournament by a single point. After the golf we found an indoor veranda overlooking the course where we shared a bottle of red & some tapas.
Upon returning from the hotel we grabbed a bottle of Rioja to have before dinner on the balcony.
We chatted with a couple in the lounge after dinner, foregoing our usual game of cards.
