I was awoken by a knock on the door at 09:00am, how rude for a holiday! Total eggs was the agenda again. Scrambled eggs with with an omelette & some bookies eggs for later. Eggtastic. An hour on the sun longer after breakfast allowed everything to settle down before our pre agreed family gym trip. I did my usual routine, while the parents cracked on with cardio on the bikes. We spent 50mins in there I total with everyone joining in with sit-ups & biceps. They headed down for some sunbathing by the pool while I went on a run. I ran up to the village of del a mar then down to El Medano & back. The wind helped the midday sun feel not as strong as it may have otherwise felt.
Soon it was time to undo all the good work of the morning but sitting by the pool myself with a few sangrias to soak away the hours. When we were baking I suggested a dip in the sea. My dad & I ventured in, & it had the desired affect. It was freezing! We swam for a bit until it became to cold to bear & we headed back to the beach for some further sunbathing to warm up. Alan started to get a bit bored of the sunbathing so I took him on a walk around Del a Mar. It is a small residential area with no shops or anything of note except a very secluded beach which we found that only had two people on. When we returned well all took a trip to the onsite supermarket to grab a bottle of Rioja, some cheese & chorizo. We took this up to our balcony and caught the last of the days sun. Well I did anyway as of course I wouldn't let anyone else steal the light from me! Once the sun had gone round the corner of the hotel, Alan & I popped downstairs for a couple of drinks in the outdoor section of the upper bar. We passed over an hour talking about old holidays & testing each other's memory. Though we both failed to remember the name of a chap we played golf with in Florida. Even our phone a friend didn't work. Simon Purdon who played in that round too also was unable to recall the old fellas name.
A quick scrub up for dinner in the restaurant was followed by a game of cards in the lounge. With Alan feeling tired from the daytime drinking they retired at 21:00. My plan had been to follow up shortly thereafter. I popped downstairs to sit outside & observe the music from afar. Another pretty girl with a good voice singing songs she wasn't too familiar with. When I got there there was precisely 5people watching her perform. Soon after people we had spoken to last night came & joined me. A very friendly couple who had obviously made a lot of friends on holiday as soon I found myself surrounded by eight others. The music room now was almost full. So I ended up chatting away with people till after midnight.
